Wii Remotes in VR: Tutorial and Demo

IMPORTANT: this will only work with two Wii Motion Plus controllers, using VRidge. These requirements may change in the future.

It’s been a long time in the making, and kind of a pain in the butt, but I figured it’s finally time to release a beta version of my Wii remote VR script. Finally you can use your Wii Motion Plus controllers in virtual reality!

Again thanks to anyone watching, I’ve seen time and time again people asking if they can use their Wii remotes in VR, and for some reason everyone said you couldn’t. Well, here’s to proving them wrong, and hopefully making VR accessible to a few more people.

UPDATE: I believe motionplus_rotation_only_v1.1.py should work alongside the PS Move service. I can’t test it but would be happy if anyone else could.

UPDATE 2: It seems so far that this method of using Wii remotes in VR only works with Riftcat. I’m looking into using this with alternatives like Trinus, so hold tight.
